Natural, relaxed wedding photography in Peterborough, Cambridge and throughout the UK.

No awkward posing guaranteed.

Hi, I'm Alan and I'm a wedding photographer in Peterborough and Cambridge.  I work predominantly within the Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire area, however I am available for wedding photography throughout the UK.

I use the term 'wedding photographer' to describe what I do because that is fundamentally what I am, however, I consider myself to be a visual storyteller.

My natural wedding photography will tell the story of your day as it truly unfolded, as witnessed through the eyes of you and your guests.  This means I spend more time observing the day and capturing real moments of a candid nature, rather than staging contrived situations.

My Promise to You

I promise that your wedding photography will be.....

  • Natural
  • Relaxed
  • Stress free
  • Non-staged
  • Without awkward posing
  • A true reflection of your day
  • Captured in the form of beautiful photographs
  • Spent predominantly with your family & friends and NOT with your photographer....

If this is what you are looking for from a wedding photographer then please read on through my website to see how I could be the perfect photographer for you.

“We can’t recommend Alan enough to capture your wedding day!  From our initial consultation all the way to the actual day, Alan put us at ease with everything leading up to our big day. We had so many compliments about his professionalism on the day from our guests too!”

My Wedding Photography Style

This style of wedding photography is predominantly natural and most commonly referred to as documentary wedding photography however, it will often go by the alternative names of: reportage, candid or unposed. In essence, they all share the same meaning when used to describe a wedding photography style.

I suppose the best way to describe the documentary wedding photography style would be: no awkward posing, no staging, minimal group shots and absolutely no kidnapping of the bride and groom for half the day to shoot next month's cover of Vogue.

I truly and honestly believe that the bride and groom's place is to be celebrating with their loved ones and partying hard, enjoying what should be one of the best days of their lives.

NATURAL storytelling of your wedding day

"I want to capture a wedding day naturally as it actually happened... no awkward posing, no staging and no acting up for the camera..."

It's Fun With my RELAXED Approach

"My stress free and relaxed approach to wedding photography means that my clients will chill out and have fun....."

Capturing True Emotions & Real Moments

"I want my couples to reminisce their special day through their wedding photographs with positive reactions and emotions: warmth, happiness, laughter and tears of joy..."

Such is the nature of a busy wedding day, many magical and special moments will pass you buy on the day itself; lost in all the excitement. Beautiful little moments displaying so much emotion..... the tears in your father's eyes when he walks his little girl down the aisle to give her away or your mother bursting with pride when she hugs you on your wedding morning.

Throughout the day I will capture moments exactly like these so I can weave them into the story of your special day. Captured forever in the form of beautiful photographs to reminisce over with your loved ones.

No Awkward Posing

I won't ask you to perform for the camera as I want the wedding photographs to look natural, unforced and to display real emotion occurring in genuine situations.

When you look back at your photographs your first memory should not be of how awkward you felt posing for the camera.

The memory should excite feelings of warmth and happiness, inducing laughter and maybe the odd tear of joy.

Spend Your Wedding Day With Your Guests, NOT With Your Wedding Photographer

How great would it be to spend pretty much the whole of the day with your loved ones?

I won't deprive you of spending that quality time with your friends and family by taking you away for hours of your day for photo after photo performing awkward pose after awkward pose. It's your wedding day after all.... so make sure you enjoy it!

Many wedding photographers get carried away and become over passionate about capturing their 'award winning shot'. This is great for the photographer but not so much for the bride and groom asked to stand in a muddy cornfield at sunset for an hour waiting for the 'perfect moment' whilst your guests are having a fantastic time back at the reception that cost you a small fortune. Your wedding day is all about YOU, not the photographer and his next competition submission.

I can get the photographs I need of you both in just ten minutes which at the same time gives you a much needed rest to catch your breath and steal your first few moments alone together as a married couple. You will barely notice I'm there...

"Thank you Alan for such an excellent experience. You are truly an excellent photographer and make sure you do what you can to get the right shot, what a pro!! I will always recommend your services for any couples I come across so they can find out for themselves how you go that extra mile. Thank You, from Lauren & Luke"
